Easy Balsamic Tofu

Ingredients
1
block of extra firm tofu
4
tablespoon
olive oil
3
tablespoon
balsamic vinegar
or rice vinegar
2
tablespoon
maple syrup
1
tablespoon
dijon mustard
2
shallots
finely chopped
2
teaspoon
garlic
minced or teaspoon of garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Pat the tofu dry with paper towels to remove as much water as possible. You can also use a tofu press if you have one.
Cut the Tofu into about ½ inch slices
In a small bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients to make the simple marinade
Coat the tofu well with the marinade and let marinate in a large bowl for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Remove the excess liquid and cook on the BBQ at medium-high heat for 7 to 10 minutes per side..

This tofu recipe is so easy to prepare and is perfect for an easy dinner because, since much of the work is done in advance.
