- ½ cup margarine
- 1 ½ cup brown sugar packed
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup grated apple
- ½ cup apple finely chopped
- ¼ cup milk
- Caramel icing optional
- 2 tablespoon margarine
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar packed
- ¾ cup icing sugar
- 4 teaspoons milk
Place margarine, brown sugar and egg in a bowl. Beat until the mixture is smooth.
Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and gradually add to the first brown sugar mixture.
Stir in the apples and milk with the help of a spoon. Spoon the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 400 ˚F for 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven, once the cookies are finished you can coat them with the caramel sauce if desired.
