Air fryer – basket-style works best for even crisping
Mixing bowls – for flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs
Tongs – to handle beans without losing the coating
Measuring cups and spoons – for accuracy
Baking sheet – handy if you prep the beans ahead of time
- 1 lb fresh green beans trimmed
- 2 large eggs beaten
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Trim and pat dry the green beans.
Place flour in one bowl, eggs in another, and panko with salt and pepper in a third.
Coat beans in flour, then dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs until well covered.
Place beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with oil.
Cook at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
-
Double-coat for extra crunch by dipping beans in egg and panko twice.
-
Add garlic powder, onion powder, or smoked paprika to the panko for more flavor.
-
Parmesan in the breadcrumbs = cheesy green bean fries you’ll love.
-
Best eaten fresh — leftovers reheat well in the air fryer but lose some crisp.
