Equipment

  • Large saucepan
  • Blender or food processor
  • Microwave-safe bowl or skillet
  • Sharp knife
  • Straw or small cutter

Ingredients

  • 1 box of Mac and Cheese and all the ingredients you need to make it
  • 4 cups of fresh baby spinach
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 1 cheese stick
  • 4 black olives
  • Pinch of salt and Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions, then stir in the cheese packet, butter, and milk until creamy.
  • Place spinach in a microwave-safe bowl with water. Heat for 2 minutes until wilted. Let cool slightly.
  • Blend spinach with a splash of water until smooth. Stir into the mac and cheese until it turns green.
  • Slice the cheese stick into rounds. Use a straw to cut a small hole in each slice. Insert an olive slice for a “pupil.”
  • Scoop mac and cheese into bowls and top with the eyeballs before serving.

Notes

  • For brighter color, add more spinach puree.
  • Use mozzarella string cheese for best eyeball effect.
  • Add shredded chicken for a heartier dinner.
  • Serve in a Halloween cauldron dish for party vibes.
