Equipment

  • Ninja Possible Cooker
  • Reversible rack
  • Meat thermometer
  • Tongs

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken 4-5 lbs
  • 1 lemon cut in half
  • 1 teaspoon Kinder's seasoning or your favorite all-purpose seasoning

Instructions

  • Prepare the chicken. Remove giblets from the cavity and pat the chicken completely dry using paper towels.
  • Stuff with lemon. Place both lemon halves inside the chicken cavity to add moisture and subtle flavor during cooking.
  • Season thoroughly. Rub 1 teaspoon of Kinder's seasoning all over the outside of the chicken, making sure to coat all sides evenly.
  • Position on rack. Place the reversible rack inside the Ninja Possible Cooker and set the chicken on top, breast side facing up.
  • Set and cook. Close the lid, select the Bake function, set temperature to 350°F, and cook for 2 to 2.5 hours depending on chicken size.
  • Verify doneness. Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the thigh (avoiding bone) and ensure it reads 165°F before removing.
  • Rest before serving. Carefully transfer the chicken to a cutting board using tongs and a spatula, then let it rest for 10 minutes before carving or shredding.

Notes

Chicken Size Matters: A 3-4 lb chicken takes about 1.5-2 hours. A 5-6 lb chicken needs 2-2.5 hours. Always check with a thermometer rather than relying solely on time.
Don't Skip the Rest: Letting the chicken rest for 10 minutes after cooking allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the meat moist when you cut into it.
Make it Crispy (Optional): If you want crispy skin, transfer the cooked chicken to a baking sheet and broil in your oven for 3-5 minutes. Watch it closely so it doesn't burn.
Meal Prep Pro Tip: Shred the entire chicken at once and portion it into containers. It reheats beautifully and saves you time on busy weeknights.
