In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, combine bananas, yogurt and baking soda, set aside.
In a third bowl, combine the applesauce, sugar, oil and vanilla.
Using a wooden spoon, stir the banana mixture into the liquid mixture. Pour this mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until the dough is moist.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled loaf pan. Sprinkle more chocolate chips on top.
