- 4 russet potatoes thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper optional
Wash and scrub the potatoes well. Peel them if desired. Using a sharp knife or mandoline slicer, cut them into even slices (about ⅛-inch thick).
For extra crispiness, soak the potato slices in a bowl of cold water for 15–30 minutes. This removes excess starch, preventing them from becoming soggy. Drain and pat dry with a clean towel.
:In a large mixing bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure even coating.
Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for about 3 minutes.
Place the seasoned potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overlapping them too much for even cooking. Cook in batches if necessary.
Cook for 15 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through (around the 7–8 minute mark). If needed, cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
Once done, transfer the potatoes to a plate and serve immediately with your favorite dips or alongside your main course.
Storage & Reheating
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating: Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes to restore crispiness. Avoid microwaving as it makes them soggy.
