Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tongs or a spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 bag edamame in the pod, typically 12-16 oz
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). This ensures even cooking and a crispy finish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the edamame, soy sauce, garlic powder, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the edamame is evenly coated.
  • Place the seasoned edamame in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure the pods cook evenly. If necessary, cook in batches.
  • Air fry the edamame for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even crispiness. The pods should be slightly browned and aromatic when done.
  • Transfer the cooked edamame to a serving bowl. You can sprinkle a little extra salt or pepper on top if desired. Serve immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

Storage Instructions:
  • Refrigerate: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 2-3 minutes to restore crispiness.
  • Freezing: While it’s best to cook edamame fresh, you can freeze leftovers for up to a month. Thaw and reheat as needed.
