Equipment

  • Air fryer (basket or tray model)
  • Cutting board + knife
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups/spoons
  • Silicone spatula or tongs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Wash and trim the sprouts, then cut in halves or quarters depending on size.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss sprouts with balsamic, olive oil, salt, and pepper until coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  • Arrange sprouts in a single layer in the basket.
  • Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway, until browned and crisp.
  • Transfer to a dish and drizzle with more balsamic if desired.

Notes

  • For an even richer glaze, stir in 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup before cooking.
  • Smaller sprouts crisp faster — start checking around the 10-minute mark.
  • Don’t overcrowd; air fryers work best when food has space.
  • Parmesan, bacon, or chili flakes all make fun finishing touches.
