You know what? I never thought a sorbet could taste this good with only three ingredients… but here we are. This Ninja Creami strawberry sorbet is basically summer in a bowl. Sweet strawberries, a little sugar, and a splash of water.

A glass bowl filled with a smooth, swirled pink sorbet sits on a light surface next to a yellow and green striped cloth.

There's just something magical about turning a handful of frozen strawberries into the creamiest, dreamiest sorbet-no fancy ingredients, no dairy, and no weird additives. Just three simple ingredients and the magic of the Ninja Creami. Every time I make this strawberry sorbet, I wonder why I ever bought the store-bought kind. This one is brighter, fresher, and honestly… way more fun to make!

The texture is smooth and scoopable, the flavor is pure summer, and the best part? It's ridiculously easy. Whether you're cooling down on a hot day or just craving a light, fruity dessert, this recipe is a must-try.

    The ingredients

A white bowl filled with frozen strawberries, next to small white measuring cups containing sugar and water on a beige surface.

Frozen strawberries - You want them frozen solid. Don't thaw them first!

Sugar - This helps with texture and sweetness. You can reduce a bit if your berries are ultra ripe.

Water - Just enough to get things moving in the blender. Nothing fancy here.

For quantities see recipe card below

Step-by-Step Instructions for the Ninja Creami Strawberry Sorbet

    1. Blend the base.
Add your frozen strawberries, sugar, and water to a blender or food processor. Blend until totally smooth. You'll need to stop and scrape down the sides a few times. It'll be thick!

    2. Freeze it.
Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami pint container. Level the top and pop on the lid. Freeze for at least 24 hours. (Yep, the whole day-don't rush this part or it won't work.)

    3. Spin it.
After freezing, place the pint in your Creami. Use the Sorbet setting and let it work its magic.

    4. Re-spin if needed.
If it's a bit crumbly, add a splash of water or milk and hit the Re-Spin button. It'll turn creamy and dreamy in seconds.

A bowl with clear liquid on the left and a container of frozen strawberries on the right, both placed on a light-colored surface.

    Tips for Success

    • If your sorbet is icy or crumbly, don't panic-Re-Spin always fixes it.
    • Press the mixture flat in the pint before freezing so it spins more evenly.
    • Want it softer? Let it sit 2-3 minutes before spinning.

    Variations

    • Swap berries - Try raspberries, blackberries, or a frozen berry mix.
    • Make it tropical - Add a few chunks of frozen mango or pineapple.
    • Add vanilla - A drop or two of vanilla extract adds depth.
    • Sugar-free - Use a sugar substitute if needed. Just make sure it blends well!

    Serving Ideas

    • Scoop into a cone or waffle bowl.
    • Add to a fruit parfait with whipped cream.
    • Serve with a drizzle of balsamic glaze (sounds weird but sooo good).
    • Sandwich it between two cookies for a frozen treat!

    Storage Tips

    • Keep the sorbet in the Ninja pint in the freezer with the lid on.
    • If it hardens too much, Re-Spin or let it thaw for 10 minutes.
    • Best eaten within a week for optimal flavor and texture.

    FAQs

Can I use fresh strawberries instead of frozen?

Yes! Fresh strawberries work perfectly in this recipe since you're blending the base before freezing. Just wash, hull, and chop them before blending with the sugar and water. Then freeze the mixture in your Ninja Creami pint for 24 hours as usual.

Why is my strawberry sorbet crumbly after spinning?

No worries, that happens sometimes! Just add a small splash of water to the pint and hit Re-Spin. That usually does the trick. If it is still a little crumbly, do one more Re-Spin and it should come out perfectly smooth.

Can I make this without sugar?

You can! If your strawberries are really ripe and sweet, you can cut the sugar down or skip it. Just keep in mind that sugar also helps with texture, so your sorbet might be a little less scoopable without it.

A spoonful of bright pink sorbet held above a bowl filled with more sorbet; a striped towel is visible in the background.
A bowl of red, textured frozen sorbet with a spiral pattern on the surface, next to a towel.

    Equipment

    • Ninja Creami machine
    • Pint container with lid
    • High-speed blender or food processor

    Ingredients

    • 1½ cups frozen strawberries
    • 3 tablespoons sugar
    • ½ cup water

    Instructions

    • Add strawberries, sugar, and water to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape sides as needed.
    • Pour the purée into a Ninja Creami pint. Smooth the top, cover, and freeze for 24 hours.
    • Insert the frozen pint into the Ninja Creami machine. Spin using the Sorbet setting.
    • If crumbly, add a splash of water and Re-Spin until creamy.

    Notes

    • If your sorbet is too icy, a splash of almond milk or oat milk works well for re-spinning.
    • Want more tang? Add a squeeze of lemon juice to the base before freezing.
    • You can skip sugar if your berries are super sweet-but the texture may be less scoopable.
    • Keep it sealed tight to prevent freezer burn and enjoy within 5-7 days.

It’s so simple but tastes like something you'd get at a fancy ice cream shop. I love how the strawberries come through, and the texture is spot on
